The space
☆☆ BEDROOMS ☆☆
With four spacious bedrooms, you and yours will have no problem spreading out and making yourselves comfortable at the chalet.
The first bedroom is located on the second level and is outfitted with a spacious king-size bed, a mini-split AC/heat pump, a dresser, and a chaise that can function as a toddler bed if you’re travelling with young ones. There is also a pack and play available.
The second bedroom, the master suite, can be found on the main level. It boasts an ensuite bathroom, a spacious closet, a mini-split AC/heat pump, a luggage rack, and splendid forest views from the window.
The third bedroom is located on the ground level, and this room is great for young families as it has a comfy king-size bed, a crib (please bring your own linens), plenty of dresser space, a ceiling fan, and fantastic mountain views.
The fourth bedroom is also located on the ground floor and features a queen-size bed, a ceiling fan, and a game armoire. If you’re travelling with young ones, you will find a pack and play, a high chair, a changing pad, and various toys stored in the closet.
☆☆ BATHROOMS ☆☆
The chalet is equipped with three full bathrooms to make it easy for your group to get ready for the day. The first bathroom is located on the second level and features a shower stall, a pedestal sink, and a skylight.
The second bathroom is ensuite to the second bedroom (located on the main level), and here you’ll find a shower/tub combo with a rainfall showerhead and a spacious countertop area.
The third bathroom is on the ground floor, newly constructed (Oct 2020) with a large walk-in shower and luxury fixtures.
☆☆ KITCHEN & DINING ROOM ☆☆
The kitchen is on the main level and provides you with all the tools you’ll need for whipping up delicious home-cooked meals.
Some of the highlights of the kitchen include:

– knife set, pots, and pans, bakeware
– toaster, slow cooker, food processor
– fondue set & waffle maker
Once you’re ready to have a meal, you can head over to the bright dining area, which features an expansive and extendable table along with incredible mountain views from the glass sliding door.
☆☆ LIVING AREAS ☆☆
The sun-rich living room on the main level is a great place to relax and enjoy each other’s company. In this room, you’ll find a large, plush sectional, a flatscreen TV, and a pellet wood-burning stove. You’ll also have impeccable views of the mountains from this area, and the deck is just a sliding door away.
On the ground floor is an additional living room, complete with cosy couches, a Playstation 3 with games, and access to the outdoor area.
The loft is a special space with massive chalet windows looking out to the beautiful view of nature and the mountains. It is equipped as a fun game room, with games for all ages, wall-hung ring toss game, seating and two yoga mats. You can use it to relax, meditate, read, play a game or two, or even to just look out the windows for the hawks that fly by.
☆☆ OUTDOOR AREAS ☆☆
One of the best things about the chalet is that you can enjoy the great outdoors without ever leaving the property. Not only will you have spectacular mountain views thanks to the windows inside, but there are plenty of places to unwind outside of the home as well.
Step outside the sliding doors on the main level to access the spacious, wrap-around deck. There’s plenty of seating at the two picnic tables, and the massive outdoor sectional is perfect for relaxing and breathing in the fresh mountain air. If you’re hoping to grill out, you’ll find two grills right around the corner – a gas grill and a Kamado grill (like a green egg).
The ground level provides additional entertainment for your group, and underneath the deck is a shaded sitting area for both adults and kiddos. From here, you’ll find a path to the newly constructed fire pit area, complete with string lights, Adirondack chairs, and a 20-foot fire pit. When the weather cooperates, you can play a game of cornhole or bocce. If you like shooting hoops, bring a basketball along and practice your free throw with the hoop located in the backyard.
While you’re enjoying the natural surroundings outside the home, you may encounter some of the areas full-time residents, including but not limited to hawks or other birds of prey, bears, coyotes, porcupines, deer, beaver, woodchucks, turkeys, raccoons, geese, ducks, frogs, and possums.

Guest access
You will have private access to the entire house, including all of the outdoor areas. This excludes a few locked closets we use for storage. Guests who stay for a week or longer will also have access to the washer & dryer.
The chalet is located on a private road that has a steep descent at the beginning – if there is a chance of snow you must have an all-wheel-drive vehicle with good tires. The road gets ploughed when there is 4 inches or more. The road will usually be ploughed after the storm is over, not during the storm. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip.
The home is extremely family-friendly! In order to be baby-friendly, the chalet has most outlets covered (main floor), a gate at the bottom of the stairs, and items such as a pack n play with mattress and mattress cover(s), a high chair, and a crib with crib mattress (please bring your own crib linens). The outside wrap-around deck also has a gate, so your child will be safe. There are also some older kid games, such as checkers, chess, Monopoly, a PS3 and games, and cards.

Other things to note
- Do not under any circumstances leave food outside or on the grill overnight! After grilling you should always clean the grill, not only as a courtesy to the next guest grilling but more importantly to AVOID attracting BEARS.
- Please note that we do have a crib and a pack and play as well as a chaise available for children ages 0 to 5. Kids older than 5 can sleep comfortably in one of our king or queen-sized beds. So make sure to keep this in mind when you book. Children 2 and below do not count towards the 10 person guest maximum.

Pictures don't do the house justice. It's great for a large party. We were a group of 9 and were very comfortable. The view from the second floor is amazing, words can't describe it. Hosts are very helpful and respond quickly. We were even lucky enough to have a deer visit on our last day!!! The detail of the towels and soap in every room was nice. Loved the fact that everything was labelled switches, cabinets etc..it made life so much easier instead of guessing where things were. Overall the house was great!
Pam & Marc were very quick with a response. It's a great place! Well stocked kitchen, spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and linens and all the basic supplies needed for our weekend stay. The best part was the outdoor fire pit with ample firewood that we used during our stay after dinner and an indoor fireplace, a large outdoor deck with plenty of seating, grill including a green egg!! It’s probably one of the best Airbnb places that we have ever stayed!!! Looking forward to staying there again in the future when in the area!!
Beautiful place! It’s well equipped with everything you need. The rooms are very spacious and the views are just stunning. We hiked and went to the vineyard for a wine tasting - both very close to the house! The fire pit was our favourite spot!!
We stayed at Pam and Marc’s home for a summer weekend. It was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The home is so beautiful, clean and very nicely updated. The layout was wonderful for sharing with my parents. Very private, with surrounding woods. We loved using the deck and firepit. Everything was well placed and convenient. We highly recommend staying here!
The house was clean, spacious and had an efficient layout. The kitchen was well-equipped for our stay and the bathroom linens were well-prepared. We enjoyed our stay in the house, the secluded feeling, the alpine view of Bearpen mountain and excursions around the area, including the recommended Chicken Run restaurant. Pam & Marc also kindly let us use the laundry for our short stay as one of our friends fell into the water while kayaking. One of the kids said it was the best vacation he had and the other enjoyed the DVD games a bit too much. Look forward to staying at this place again in the future!
I would give this house and these hosts 100 stars if possible -- it was unbelievable. The location and views were gorgeous, the house was immaculate, and everything was exactly as Pam and Marc described. They were lovely hosts -- so accommodating and easy to communicate with. We had the best stay here and had plenty of room for a large group. The firepit is gorgeous, all beds were comfortable, and the surrounding area is breathtaking. It left nothing to be desired, and we cannot wait to come back.
